New beginnings...

Hi, Everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting, but we have been quite busy here at Image Forward! I am sure you all have now seen our new magazine, ALT! We are so excited about having our own magazine and being able to share with you! Our articles, most of the time a result of our photography sessions, are informative, interesting, and sometimes heart string tuggers!
If you have an interesting story to share with our readers, please contact us! We would love to hear from you! In addition, our events page is something that everyone in town will be looking at to find something exciting to do each week! E-mail us your event information!

We have also been busy with our usual photography assignments -- weddings, bridals, engagements, children, babies, maternity. In fact, we have a special, also, available to those who have a 4-D Ultrasound of their baby at The Women's Specialists! This is such an amazing technology! And what is absolutely amazing is how much your baby's ultrasound photo looks like the first photograph we take of your newborn! If you are expecting and want to check this out, go to http://www.thewomensspecialists.org/. You will be amazed! Ask them about having your baby's ultrasound taken...then call us!

With Christmas just around the corner, we are now offering our Christmas special -- for 8 days only this year! For more information, visit http://www.imageforwardtxk.com/html/specials_.html. We are excited about our White Christmas set and hope to see you! Appointments are going fast -- so call soon!

Vacation and Wedding!

Hi, everyone! We're on vacation this week in beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama. Not only have we been having fun on the beach, but we attended the wedding of Michael and Lacretia and took a "few" photos! Here are some that we want to share with you! Thanks so much to Brent Stewart of Stewart and Company for the beautiful floral bouquets, and to Jan Price of Prissy Chrissy Ranch for the "Delicious Cheese"!

Hope everyone is having a great week! See you when we return!

Arkansas Professional Photographers Association...

Hi, Everyone! We just returned from 3 days in Hot Springs at the Arkansas Professional Photographer's Convention! It was so much fun! The people we met there were friendly, fun, and helpful in every possible way! It makes learning so much better when you are with people you truly like, who know what they are doing, and who want to help you learn!

Anyway, we entered the print competition and got some amazing results -- especially considering it was the first time we had entered! Here's what we did:

Prints Deserving a Merit (Award):

A Little Bit Country (Cowboy Hat Photo of Laura Lee Lacy)
Heaven and Earth (Wedding Photo of Kristi and Dale Wooten)

Back to Iraq – (Engagement Photo of April Hurt and Matthew Riley)
Final Bow – (Ballerina Photo of Laura Lee Lacy)
Old World Tradition – (Traditional photo of Annie Kim)
God’s Grace – (Maternity Photo of Tracy Lilly)

At the Awards Dinner, we also received the following:

Debbie -- First Place Wedding Photograph in the General Division (Heaven and Earth); Distinguished Print in the Portrait Division (Old World Tradition)

Jaclyn -- First Place Illustrative Photography in the General Division (Back to Iraq); Best Photo of a High School Senior (Final Bow); Best Photo by a First Time Entrant (Back to Iraq)

We are so excited!

Our Ark-la-tex Photography Guild meets this coming Monday evening at Park Place Restaurant, at 6 p.m., where we have been asked to assist Vaughn Monigold in a program on wedding photography! If you are a photographer interested in weddings, don't miss this meeting! See you soon!

Laura Lee...

Well, one of my favorite people dropped by yesterday for a shoot -- Laura Lee! Absolutely gorgeous! We had so much fun!

Laura Lee is such a great subject!

Here are a few of my favorites and I'll try to post some of the "ballerina" pics that Jaclyn shot later.

Laura Lee -- you are fabulous!

Enjoy...

Texas School!!!

Hi, everyone! Sorry for not posting for a few weeks. I attended Texas School of Photography in College Station, Texas the week of April 23rd -- and I've been playing catch-up since! My week at school was absolutely fabulous! I learned so much and have been trying to implement it into our routine here at the studio. My roommate was Carmen Tedder, an truly wonderful photographer (and friend) from Dierks, Arkansas.

Recently, we had Tracy and Chris Lilly come by for Tracy's maternity portraits. Tracy is such a beautiful pregnant lady! I have attached my favorite portrait for everyone to view. I can't wait to take portraits of the new addition to their family!
Talk to you soon (I hope)!!!

Photogenic winner! Yea!

Well, it's that time of year when we seem to get truly busy! I thank God each day for giving me this wonderful business and making it a success!

Speaking of success, I was recently visited by a young girl who needed a headshot for a pageant coming up! Tylo Thompson was a true pleasure to have in the studio! As you can see, she is an absolutely gorgeous girl! And what do you know -- she did an awesome job at the pageant -- winning Supreme Miss, Most Beautiful, Best Sportswear -- and guess what else! MOST PHOTOGENIC! Congratulations, Tylo!

The Texas School of Photography is coming up next week in College Station, Texas -- and I will be attending again this year and hopefully coming back with some great ideas! Photographers from around the world attend this awesome 6 day event and learn from the best there are! Although I will be out, Miranda and Spring will be here to assist you with your photography needs! Don't hesitate to call them!

Senior Portraits -- so much fun!!!

We have had lots of seniors come by lately for last minute high school senior portraits! For any of you out there who have not had the pleasure of taking senior portraits, we still have a few appointment times left! We absolutely love them!

One particular senior came by to share her last few weeks with us -- thanks go out to Catherine Maness for sharing her time with us! She has been a customer for some time now and we will miss her when she goes off to college in the fall! Catherine's senior portraits were great fun -- and so was the Arkansas High Porker Beauty shoot we did a couple of months ago! Catherine won the title of Arkansas High Porker Beauty Queen with the shot you see here! In addition, Leslie Smith and Lyndsey Gordon won Porker Beauty Maids! Congratulations to all three of you!

Oh, and Catherine, I love the legs! (And the shoes!)

Couples...

Hectic days -- and lovin' it!!

We had the pleasure of helping out two fabulous couples this weekend -- one with engagement photos, getting ready for and planning their wedding -- and one with their wedding photography! We had lots of fun with both!

KRISTI NOTTINGHAM-DALE WOOTEN WEDDING
What can I say! I fell in love with this couple from the first day they showed up at the studio! They are a fun, loving, and totally wonderful couple! And a first for me -- a race car to use for wedding photos! After a honeymoon cruise, they plan to live in Texarkana!

KERRI ATKINSON AND STEPHEN SPANN

Kerri and Stephen came in from College Station -- from Texas A&M University! They plan to marry in July, 2007 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Kerri's sister, Jill is also getting married this summer to Kyle Modell, in May! (Whew! I feel sorry for their Mom and Dad!)

Kerri and Stephen were so much fun to photograph, as you can see! I can't wait to be a part of their wedding day -- as well as the bridal shoot we have planned for both Kerri and sister Jill coming up in a few weeks!

My first blog...

Hi, everyone! Welcome to my new blog site! I am so excited that I will be able to share things that happen in the studio from time to time!

KLANCY JOHNSON

Klancy Johnson recently came by to shoot her ad layouts for the Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen competition to be held in Ft. Worth, Texas in July! We loved the cowboy hat and the "lake" in my backyard! Good luck, Klancy!

LIBBY LAVENDER

Baby Libby was an absolute angel and loved her cake and balloons! She is such a cutie! Thanks so much to mom, Debbie, for bringing her by! And thanks to Donna Howell, with Silver Spoon, for the awesome cake!
